有關學位頒授典禮安排（供新生參考）
香港大學於學位頒授典禮正式頒授學位予符合畢業要求的學生。自2014年起，畢業生於所屬學院舉行的學位頒授典禮獲授予學位。由2022年起，大學每年舉辦兩次學位頒授典禮︰夏季典禮在7月舉行，冬季典禮則在12月舉行。為方便因就業或進修而需要提前取得畢業證書（即舉行實體典禮前）的畢業生，大學一般先於網上舉行夏季和冬季典禮，之後再舉行實體典禮。畢業生將獲邀參加最接近其修業日期的學位頒授典禮。畢業生可選擇參加實體或網上典禮，但不能兩者同時參加。畢業生如無法參加實體典禮，而同時選擇不參加網上典禮，將於實體典禮中以缺席情況下獲授予學位。《香港大學規程》是香港法律的一部分，根據《規程》所訂，畢業證書將於學位頒授典禮後正式頒發予畢業生。畢業生可選擇親身或以郵寄方式領取證書。
